Corrected Mazzaloth Polyhedral Qamea

Finally...the corrected version of the Mazzaloth Polyhedral Qamea. Please refer to my earlier post of 9/23/11 to see why it had to be updated to this version.

  1. Tabatha, do you have versions of these for all five of the Platonic Solids? I am purchasing some wooden solids and this would be a great application for those pieces.

    1. I have published versions for 3 others: Two different versions for the tetrahedron (Saturn and Jupiter polycams), a solar polycam for the cube, and a mercurial polycam for the octahedron. These can be found in Hermetic Virtues Magazine No 17, Fall 2011 issue.

I am currently working on creating a polycam for the icosahedron.

  2. I find it interesting that you attribute them to planetery energies, as the five Platonic solids are more traditionally attributed to the five elements. However, based on the numbers associated with them, like the four(Jupiter) triangles(Saturn), I can see your justification for that attribution. However, being that the tetrahedron is generally attributed to fire, I don't know that I would have personally come to the same conclusions. It's definitely something to contemplate.

  3. Fair enough. I considered the Saturn attribution to be more Supernal than planetary. And the Portal Ritual tells us that "Jupiter is the Lord of Fire."

But, the title of our article in HV magazine was "Musings on the Magic Squares." None of this Gospel. :)

  4. Oh don't get me wrong. Today I was totally having a nerd moment with printouts of the pictures you've posted of the Mazloth Qamea. I've thoroughly enjoyed your "musings."
